Latest Fashion Trends For 2008

February 16th, 2008 · 4 Comments

Anyone who watches the fashion industry knows that the fashion world is made up of seasonal trends that come and go like the wind. What was hot yesterday may be cold as ice today and what was hot ten seasons ago may be making a surprising comeback. No matter what the latest fashion trends are, you will always be safe investing in a few to complement your wardrobe, but always be sure to stock your closet with safe fashion staples (like the well-tailored trench coat, sexy heels, and little black dress) that will get you through from year to year.

It seems like the world of fashion changes day by day, or more professionally, season by season. For the average onlooker, it may be a confusing thing to try and keep up with what the latest fashion trends are, but it’s really not. Of course there are new fashion trends every year, and within every year designers express their own new point of view based on these trends. No matter what the latest fashion trends are, there is no need to worry as long as you have some of the basic fashion staples in your closet to go along with those trends.

For the beginning of 2008 it is a completely “out with the old and in with the new,” as it is said by every fashion editor every year. However, fashion does recycle itself, with slight variations. This year, we can expect trends to focus on fit and quality rather than name-brands. You will want to look your best and that does not mean spending thousands of dollars to do so. Such items as pencil skirts (knee length or longer), hats, clutches, and feminine dressing will be in. Accessories such as thin belts and head scarves will also be all the rage. Colors such as lavender, green, and orange will be in with silver being the new neutral of choice. Things to avoid in 2008 will include things like peasant skirts, jersey knits, babydoll dresses, excessive black, super short skirts, and wicker shoes.

Some of the hottest fashion trends for 2008 projected include industrial fabrics, see-through clothes, fashion sneakers, and scarves. These items are on the “it” lists of many of the major fashion houses and magazines alike. Fabrics made with anti-microbial and rubberized materials are becoming increasingly popular and utilitarian. Additionally, organza, chiffon, and georgette are making a comeback for the Spring.

You should invest in a few of the latest fashion trends if you want to keep up with the fashion industry, but don’t forget the age-old staples that can save your closet (and your wallet) a lot of worry. Always make sure that you have a well-tailored classic trench coat, a stylish pair of flats (preferably in a black or a bold color like red), a cashmere sweater (in a vibrant color), a sexy camisole, a slimming A-line skirt, a good pair of jeans (or two), at least five supportive bras, a great suit, an evening clutch, a pair of sexy strappy high heels, and of course, the little black dress. As long as you have your closet stocked with these staples, you will be ready for day or night wear as many of them are so versatile they can go from the office to the evening out.

Fashion is almost like technology, it seems to change every single day. If you’re like me and love to follow the trend without breaking the bank, start shopping online. You not only save time but money. Of course, there are alot of websites out there but I found this one website that only sell brand name women’s clothing at only $20. http://www.brandlet.com You’re sure to find all sorts of dresses, tops and sweaters at only $20. Their shipping and service is fantastic.

When talking about jewelry trends in the year 2008, dont forget the following. Silver jewelry will get a great boost, in terms of quality, designs, gemstone options and sales value. Rising gold prices will cause some buyers of gold jewelry to shop for silver jewelry instead. You will also see an increased acceptance of lab created and synthetic gemstones. From this stand point, we should be more into fashion jewelry rather classic high quality jewels.

Indian Wear Saree (Sari) in 2008

History of saree made easy and interesting, learn more about sari history with its origin, importance in vedas, learn more about saree trends, value of sarees in a indian woman’s life.

When the beauteous Draupadi - wife of the Pandavas - was lost to the enemy clan in a gambling duel, Lord Krishna promised to protect her virtue. The lecherous victors, intent on “bagging” their prize, caught one end of the diaphanous material that draped her so demurely, yet seductively. They continued to pull and unravel, but could reach no end. Virtue triumphed, yet again in this 5,000 year old Indian epic, the Mahabharata. Legend, fantasy, history or fact, it is the first recorded reference to the enduringly attractive Saree history - the most enduring of all items in the history of saree and women’s fashion.

Saris are worn in different ways in many places, especially in Gujarat, Manipur, Maharashtra and Coorg (Karnataka).

But now modern time Sarees r famous worldwide. Many women drap sari in US, UK, Canada, Australia, India and worldwide..
